Democracy cannot be a gift

I read this news this morning on how INdian leaders are urging the king to reinstate democracy. That is kind of ironicl, don't you think? If democracy is to be had, it has to come from the desire of the Nepali people. They should fight for it and get rid of all obstacles that has prevented its taking proper root. Democracy cannot be a gift from anyone. Let it is a result of people's desire, if they so choose. Let is not be anything else.
